Beyond TGP

I also run a private coaching and photography practice called Elena F Studio, for individuals doing more personal work around clarity, identity, and how they want to show up in the world.

Ready to explore working together?

Hi, I’m Elena.

I've spent my career on all sides of the philanthropic table. From frontline fundraising to fund distribution, wealth strategy to board service, I’ve seen just about every point of view. That range gives me something most consultants don't have: the ability to see the full picture. I love to connect the dots across sectors and offer guidance that's both practical and deeply informed.

I founded The Good Philanthropist because I kept meeting capable, big-hearted leaders and organizations who were waiting for someday — someday to build a real giving program, someday to cultivate planned gifts, someday to figure out what their philanthropic identity actually was. But someday kept moving, and the gap between their values and their strategy kept widening.

Legacy isn't something you figure out at the end of your story. It's what you're living right now. Every campaign, every donor conversation, every initiative, you're already writing it. The work is making sure it reflects what you actually stand for.

I'm a Certified Wealth Strategist, a Certified Professional Empower Coach, a speaker, and the author of Great Boards Fundraise, a guide for nonprofit boards ready to lead with confidence and integrity. I'm based in Oregon and work with organizations across the country.

At TGP, I lead every engagement personally and draw on a trusted network of specialist consultants to bring the right expertise to your work, which means you get seasoned strategic guidance alongside deep, focused execution across a broad range of fundraising needs.

My specialties.

  • Fundraising strategy and donor cultivation

  • Board development and capacity building

Why this work

I've seen what happens when organizations work philanthropically without strategy; the donor fatigue, the board burnout, the mission drift. And I've seen what's possible when generosity is treated as something worth building intentionally. That gap is where I do my best work.
